I’ve been a huge fan of Hello Kitty since forever, the first time I ever saw this vibrator was in one of my local sex toy shops. I saw it and exclaimed to my partner “Oh my gosh, Hello Kitty! – I want it!” of coarse it’s cost was a little out of my price range (me being a poor college student and all) so it had to be a longing want. Though it kind of weirds me out using such cute looking sex toys, seeing a Hello Kitty vibrator did not surprise me ~ I mean it’s a Japanese cartoon and all. So, the Hello Kitty vibrator went on my wish list and sat there for a while. This made me very giddy when the website: EdenFantasys was willing to give it to me for review. The color that I knew I had to have it in was black – but it comes in pink, purple, and red as well. When I received the vibrator, it came in a really cute clear box with colorful pink and blue Japanese writing on it. It’s easy to open and I have been keeping it to store my vibrator in still. The only downside about it is that I can’t read Japanese at all, so if there is any instructions or information about the toy I couldn’t really tell you. The Hello Kitty vibrator is said to be a “pocket rocket” style vibrator and is made completely of plastic – which means that it’s non-porous. The vibrator is also hypo-allergenic and free of phthalates. So if those are traits that you look for in sex toys than you are in luck! The vibrator is about 5 1/2 inches in length and about 4 inches in diameter. Hello Kitty sits atop the vibrator and makes up about __ inches of the piece. The vibrator is controlled by a very straightforward dial base – you turn it from the off to on position to turn it on and to the “open” position to open it and change the batteries. It takes 1 AA battery and actually has 1 included with the toy. I have to admit that this is a very cute looking toy and part of the reason I had to have it was because I felt that it was a great novelty to have in my Hello Kitty collection.

The vibrator is made purely for clitoral stimulation, so it’s not meant to be inserted anywhere. You can even use it for nipple stimulation as well, but I still have yet to try that. I feel that the product will suit both beginners and advanced users alike. Though the vibrations may not be strong enough for some advanced users and that’s a complaint I have seen from some. I’d give the vibrations about a 3 out of 5, because the vibrations are moderate (not too weak but not too strong either). As far as the feel of the vibrations, I would say that they are a bit on the buzzy side. To me, the vibrations suited me fine and were able to stimulate me perfectly unlike some other toys that I have tried. The texture of the Hello Kitty vibrator is completely smooth except for the shape of Hello Kitty on top and the small ridges above the “off-on” text. For me, the best stimulation I could get from the toy was to use the back of Hello Kitty and stick to that. From what I can feel in weight, it feels like the motor is up top so the vibrations originate from there and get weaker as they go down the base. The vibrator is not waterproof, so I’ll advise you not to take it in the shower or tub with you and be careful when you are cleaning the toy. To me the size of the toy is perfect, it’s easy to store and take when you travel. It’s also perfectly discreet because of the Hello Kitty design. I feel like I could put the toy in the pencil cup on my desk for decoration if I wanted to.

I only have two qualms with this toy, one being that the vibrations are very noisy. It’s noisy to the point that it made me shy and wary about using because I live with roommates. I would say that the noise could be compared to what you hear when you turn on an electric razor if not a little quieter than that. I was very disappointed with the noise aspect because I feel like I can only use it when no one is around. The other thing that bothered me is that the dial base seems to require more force to change the position. I have to use 2 hands to turn it on and I had to have my partner open the toy up for me just so I could check for batteries when I first got it. I don’t know… I might have weaker hands or something, but that kind of bothered me about the toy. I know for fact that it was even harder to use when I had lube on my hands because I couldn’t get a good grip on it to turn it on.

I would say that this toy is a great novelty to own and I am glad that I do own one. It might not be the perfect toy for someone looking for a serious vibrator but perfect for someone that loves cutesy things and Hello Kitty. If that’s you, than what are you waiting for get one for your collection, I’m not disappointed so I don’t see that you would be either! The clean up is easy, I just cleaned mine with mild soap and warm water and wiped it down with a towel to dry it.
